ABOUT US
Who We Are…
Since 1973, Amico Engineering has stood for excellence. Excellence in CNC precision machining of metal and plastic parts as well as in the design, engineering, and production of quality Class plastic molds and casting die.
Founded by David Saphir, Amico Engineering is based on hi belief that exacting that standards of craftsmanship must be maintained in order to produce quality products. Attuned to the ever-changing face of technology, Mr. Saphir concluded that combining this craftsmanship with leading-edge technology would result in outstanding quality ~ the quality that Amico Engineer commits to every project undertaken.
What We Do…
CNC Precision Machining
An important aspect of Amico Engineering’s business is CNC precision machining of ferrous and nonferrous metal and plastic. From our CAD/CAM engineering support to our fast, efficient machine tools, we’ve assembled the west, state-of-the-the-art technology to meet our customers’ needs and solve their problems.
Operate by experienced, highly trained programmers and technicians, equipment like our MitSui Seiki Vertical Machining Center ensures consistent, close tolerance finishing and guarantees precision accuracy in all mass-produced pieces.
Because of our fourth axis and three-dimensional capabilities, we can produce complex as well as two-dimensional parts. The programming and tight tolerance capabilities of our Mitsubishi Wire EDM System allow us to cut virtually any shape quickly and precisely. For example, mating parts are cut so accurately that the assembled piece appears almost seamless. This system is especially suitable for cutting “exotic ” metals like copper and titanium.
Our emphasis on quality control and our ability to control and our ability to consistently meet exacting specifications (like MIL specs often with tolerances) have given us opportunities to produce such precision parts as control panels, light filter housings, vascular surgery devices, parts for blood-testing machines, gears, cams, bearing housings, cutting blades, indexing wheels, and numerous other mass-produced parts.
Our size capabilities range from the tiniest of parts to 20” x 40” x 17” work pieces.
Design and Engineering Services
With the full range of design and engineering capabilities, Amico Engineering can take your idea from concept through production. From product design and engineering, to prototyping, quality mold making, and the production of custom-molded or precision-machined parts… our desire is to help you produce the most efficient, cost-effective product.
Our technical team can work with you to define the functionality, design, materials, and most suitable production method for your product. Once the design is finalized, each costumer receives detailed drawings of the part.
